Pok

The Pok (also known as Puk) is a demonic figure with roots in Friesland. Farmers knew him well. The humidity of their barns caused hay to swelter, and sometimes char marks could be found on the bales of hay. They were said to be caused by Pok; the fire demon. He supposedly worms himself through the bales in an attempt to light the tinder.
