Living in deep lakes and ditches, the Boezehappert (Similar to the Nikker and the Bullebak) is a child-eating water demon found in the Friesland area. An old poem describes the Boezehappert as a 9ft tall monster with scales, sharp nails, a set of horns, big sharp teeth and green eyes that light up. It preys on children foolish enough to play at the waterside.
